What this is
Your first access to Crewdex after signing up. You can log in using a magic link (sent to your email) or a password.
Who this is for
- Everyone: Owners, Admins, Technicians all use the same login process
When you use this
- First time visiting crewdex.app after your account was created
- After logging out or when your session expires
- When accessing Crewdex from a new device or browser
How it works
Option 1: Email Magic Link (Recommended)
The fastest and most secure way to log in—no password needed.
- Go to crewdex.app
- Click "Sign In"
- Enter your email address
- Click "Send Magic Link"
- Check your email (arrives within 2 minutes)
- Click the "Open Crewdex" link in the email
- You're logged in ✅
What happens:
- Link expires after 24 hours
- Each new magic link invalidates the previous one
- If you don't see the email, check your spam folder
- Works from any device (phone, tablet, computer)
Option 2: Password Sign-In
If you've set up a password, you can use it instead.
- Go to crewdex.app
- Click "Sign In"
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password
- Click "Sign In"
- You're logged in ✅
What happens:
- Password is encrypted (we never see your actual password)
- Failed attempts are logged for security
- After 5 failed attempts, you'll need to reset your password
Important rules
- Magic links are more secure than passwords (no password to steal or forget)
- Links expire after 24 hours - request a new one if needed
- One session at a time - logging in on a new device logs out the old one
- Passwords must be unique - can't reuse passwords from other apps (for your security)
Common mistakes
Mistake 1: Clicking an old magic link
- What happens: You see "Link expired" error
- Fix: Request a new magic link from the login page
Mistake 2: Not checking spam folder
- What happens: Magic link email doesn't appear in inbox
- Fix: Check spam/junk folder, add [email protected] to contacts
Mistake 3: Using wrong email address
- What happens: "No account found" error
- Fix: Use the exact email you signed up with, or contact your team owner
