Overview
Service Requests are inbound requests from customers who need work done. They arrive through the Customer Portal when a customer submits a new service request. From your dashboard, you can review, respond, quote, and convert them to jobs — all in one place.
How Service Requests Work
Customer submits request via portal
↓
Service Request appears in your dashboard
↓
You review and create a Quote (optional)
↓
Convert to a Job and schedule work
Reviewing a Service Request
- Go to Service Requests in the sidebar
- Click on a request to view details
- Review the issue description, preferred contact method, and any photos
Converting to a Quote
When a request requires an estimate before scheduling:
- Open the service request
- Click Create Quote
- Add line items and pricing
- Send the quote to the customer for approval
Converting to a Job
When ready to schedule the work directly:
- Open the service request
- Click Convert to Job
- Select a date, time, and technician
- The job appears in your calendar
Status Flow
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | New request, not yet actioned |
| Quoted | Quote sent to customer |
| Converted to Job | Scheduled for work |
| Closed | Resolved or declined |
Use the subject line — When creating a quote or job from a service request, the issue description is carried over automatically.
