Plain English Summary

You pay us monthly, we give you software to run your contracting business. You own your data. We don't sell it. Cancel anytime. Be honest, don't abuse the system, and we'll get along great.

1. The Service

Crewdex is a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool built for residential contractors. We provide:

  • Customer database and communication tools
  • Job scheduling and tracking
  • Quote and invoice generation
  • Payment processing via Stripe
  • Email notifications and reminders
  • Mobile-friendly interface

We work hard to keep Crewdex running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. If something breaks, we'll fix it fast.

2. Your Account

Account Creation

You need to provide accurate information when signing up. Use a real email address—we'll send important notifications there.

Account Security

You're responsible for keeping your password secure. If someone gets access to your account, that's on you. Enable two-factor authentication if you're worried.

One Account Per Business

Don't share accounts across multiple businesses. Each business needs its own subscription. We'll notice and we'll ask you to fix it.

3. Acceptable Use

You Can:

  • Use Crewdex to run your contracting business
  • Store customer data and business records
  • Invite team members to your account
  • Send quotes and invoices to customers
  • Export your data anytime

You Can't:

  • Resell or redistribute Crewdex
  • Reverse engineer or copy our code
  • Use bots or scrapers on our service
  • Store illegal content or spam customers
  • Share your account across businesses

4. Payments & Refunds

Pricing

Plans range from free (GROW) to $199/month (BUSINESS). We charge monthly via Stripe. See our pricing page for full details. Prices may change, but we'll give you 30 days notice.

Free Trial

New accounts get a 30-day free trial. No credit card required. After the trial, you'll need to add a payment method or your account will be paused.

Refunds

Not happy? Email us within 30 days and we'll give you a full refund, no questions asked. After 30 days, we don't offer refunds—just cancel your subscription instead.

Cancellation

Cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period. We don't do prorated refunds for partial months.

5. Your Data

You own your data. Customer lists, job details, invoices—all yours. We just store it for you.

We back up your data daily, but you should export it regularly as a safety net. We're not responsible if you lose data because you didn't export it.

If you cancel, we'll keep your data for 30 days in case you change your mind. After that, it's permanently deleted.

6. Liability

Crewdex is provided "as is." I'm not liable for lost profits, missed jobs, or angry customers if the software has a bug or goes down temporarily.

If I mess up and you lose money, liability is capped at the amount you paid in the last 12 months (e.g., $228 for SOLO, $948 for PRO, $2,388 for BUSINESS).

This sounds harsh, but it's standard legal protection. As a solo developer with affordable pricing, I can't take on unlimited risk—same reason you probably require deposits or limit warranties. I'll do my best to keep things running smoothly and fix issues fast.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll email you 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

8. Termination

We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, use Crewdex for illegal activities, or abuse the system.

We'll try to warn you first unless it's something serious (like fraud). If we terminate your account, you'll get a prorated refund for unused time.
